When a Pricing Error Became a Preview
How a dev test, a glitch, and a bit of chaos turned into a sneak peek of something big.

We’ve got a confession — and a bit of an announcement.
If you saw the Fractal Design North PC Case go live at a price that looked too good to be true… well, it kinda was. 😅
But there’s a fun story behind it.
What actually happened
We’ve been quietly working on something we’re really excited about — a brand-new Custom Build System that will let you design your entire gaming rig from the ground up.
We’re talking every single component — case, CPU, GPU, PSU, cooling, cables — fully configurable, all through one seamless tool we’ve built in-house.
To get it ready, our dev team has been testing the matrix (literally). They’ve been linking thousands of parts, compatibility data, and live pricing. And somewhere in that tangled web of code and caffeine, one of our test prices slipped into the live site.
You spotted it. The internet spotted it.
And suddenly, our internal build test became a UK-wide viral deal.
Oops. 🤦♂️
What we did next
We had two choices:
- quietly cancel and move on, or
- own it, honour the orders, and prove that we’re a brand that stands by our word.
We chose the second one — because trust matters more than short-term losses.
We decided to treat it as a happy accident — and honestly, it’s the best kind of beta test we could’ve asked for.

That little “oops” was actually the beginnings of world’s first unofficial preview of our Gotraka Custom Build Experience, launching soon.
